Feature Pack 2007 RTM'd! Tell us how you like (or dislike) it in the chat this Thursday!

We are hosting the first chat after the RTM (or the 5th chat) of the Feature Pack 2007 this Thursday, Nov. 9th, 10:00-11:00AM, Pacific Time. In the last 4 chats while the Feature Pack was still in CTP, a lot of you have come to the chat, asked good questions and gave us invaluable feedback. Thank you! Your participation really made a difference in how we design and deliver the product to you.

Let me share with you a little secret: I talked to some Devs on the team. Some were new to the chat. They told me after the direct interaction with chat customers, they would have the customer feedback vividly in their mind when they discussed how to fix some bugs. It really changed the way they think. Let's keep it up! In fact, we are also looking at other options to have real-time interactions, such as live meetings, webcasts, voice conferences. Please watch for the update from us! Give us your recommendation as well!

OK, mark your calendar now and join us in the chat this Thursday! You can join at http://msdn.microsoft.com/chats.

I have two problems:

1. I don't know where th e"OEM site" is that will have the licensed version of FP 2007.  I also don't know if this version has been released.  I do have the evaluation version but have not installed it.

2. My userid and password for the newsgroup microsoft.betanews.com, which worked a week or so ago, apparently are no longer working.  I get "News (NNTP) error occurred. Access Denied."

Michael,

Sorry for the late response.

1. The "OEM site" is a secured site for OEMs that have contracts/agreements with Microsoft. If you haven't signed up any, you will have no access to it.

2. I think we've closed down the beta newsgroup for FP2007 since it's now RTM'd. Maybe that's the reason. Can you access other beta newsgroups?
