New Testing Forum is Now Live!

Ever wanted to know what Dev Unit tests were, or the difference between Smoke and Sanity testing? Well, the Testing guru's at Microsoft have finally created an "all-purpose" forum devoted just to Software Testing.

This would be the place to get all your general questions about testing theory, terminology and processes answered. Test engineers from all parts of Microsoft and all products are active in the forum. Check it out at http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/showforum.aspx?forumid=1600&siteid=1 . Of course, if you are a Testing guru yourself jump in and show off your experience by answering some posts yourself!

Windows NT Embedded is no longer supported. Windows XP Embedded is the most recent version of the product.

Any application that runs on XP Pro should run on XP Embedded because it uses the same binaries as Xp Pro. You would have to analyze the dependencies that your program has in order to make sure that the Xp Embedded image you built included all those dependent components in it. For more info on building runtime images and componentizing applications see these "How To" articles - http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms913700.aspx
