Is SearchBeta an implementation of MSS 2008 or MSS Express?

I'm assuming the former on both counts given the size and implementation, but wanted to check to be sure as I'm reading your posts on scalability & performance with interest.

Thanks,

Hans, in regards to an SLA. We do not specificaly have an SLA for SearchBeta. Because of the Beta-ness of the site this does not make sense.

That said in the interest of dogfood and simulating a real-work environment we strive to keep our freshness goals in-line with the main live Enterprise Search Portal. This generally falls into 4 different timeframes (1, 2, 3, and 7 days.) The goals were generated based on business needs; premium sites have a higher freshness goal. We’ve also attempted to get the faster content sources (SharePoint 2007) to have a lower freshness goal while the “hungry” hosts have a lower freshness goal. See the third post on Starvation for more details.

Nick, SearchBeta is running a pre-release version of MOSS + MSS, it is not Express. The posts are applicable Search in both MOSS and MSS.
