The announcement was scheduled to debut yesterday, but due to some of life's blessings it had to be delayed. This delay had a very anxious student at Grand Valley State University wondering what was up, so he called me. I disclosed the situation to him and to my surprise it turned in a blog post that Kevin read (PubSub maybe?) and responded promptly to. Kudos go out to the MSA team who jumped right on this even with their current situation.

Congrats to those of you that were awarded! The run is just under 5 miles so I figured I could run there then jog or walk back. The run to the club was great. It was primarily a steady incline most of the way with a few hills here and there. I managed to leave at just the right time and showed up precisely at the time I was supposed to.

The club is pretty amazing. The only thing I wish they had was an indoor track. It's not that I like to run on a track all the time, but it helps me gauge the pace I am running at and the distance I can cover. Other the then track this club has it all.

Once I completed my tour I had the option of walking/jogging back the way I came or taking another route home. I decided on the second option and thought that I would stop by a friends house to see if she was home. Unfortunately she wasn't and so I had to continue making my way home. All in all I cover approximately 12.6 miles and it was not flat ground as I am used to in Michigan. It was a great workout for the day. My legs are a little sore but they'll get over it and I'll be ready for some hockey tomorrow!

Class View Down Arrow Bug

David Smith an intern at Microsoft, Microsoft Student Ambassador and a good friend found a nice bug when using the down arrow in the class view of Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2. I have thoroughly enjoyed the past three weeks and my team has been very helpful in making me feel right at home. During the first week of work most of my time was spent trying to figure out what I was supposed to be doing and what exactly our team really does. Once I had that my belt the next was learning people’s names, where everyone’s office is, and how to really do my job.

Overall the initial Microsoft Experience has been great.
