TextGlow: Silverlight Viewer for Open XML Word Processing Documents

TextGlow is a Silverlight viewer for Open XML word processing documents developed by Intergen, a Microsoft Partner. Last Monday, Gray Knowlton posted about the availability of the source code for the TextGlow Silverlight viewer on OpenXmlDeveloper.org. You could use this code to put together a web site that provides previews of Open XML word processing documents. I’m not familiar with the extent of fidelity that the TextGlow viewer provides, but it looks pretty good. This code is released under the Microsoft Public License (MsPL), which give you the most flexibility in how you use it.

Steve Fox and Paul Stubbs have posted a couple more samples to the SharePoint and Silverlight Blueprint Codeplex site. These are upgraded versions of the Colleague Viewer and the Custom Navigation (from Silverlight Beta 2). There are now four samples updated for Silverlight 2 RTM/SharePoint 2007:

These samples will offer developers a great starting point for integrating Silverlight and SharePoint.
