excel 2007 is still not as fast running code as it is in excel 2003. example of an app i wortoe for a client, and this is on a quad core phenom, it's worse on an amd x2.

In Excel 2000 you could easily adjust the minimum and maximum values on the X-axis of an XY plot by entering in a date (ie 1/1/2006), however in Excel 2007, you have to enter in the serial date. Why wasn't this feature carried forward into Excel 2007? It is really a pain to deal with.

Regarding the question posted on 12/12/07 by Ed Verhamme about XY chart date support, this is a known bug that will be fixed in a subsequent release of Excel.

M.L. - yes, that fix is included in SP1.
