&lt;p&gt;For info, I could not connect at first in a situation where the SSAS server and the SP servers were on different machines. The SSAS's local account used from plain Excel on the SP's machine allowed me to see the data but when used as per your solution it did not work.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The problem was sorted by creating a similar local account (same name, same password) on the SP server (hence the unattanded service account I used was not &amp;quot;domain\username&amp;quot;, as in your screenshot, but simply &amp;quot;username&amp;quot;).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I think it can be helpful to precise it in your text for people as bad as me on Security.&lt;/p&gt;
