&lt;p&gt;Thanks for the tutorial, after some fiddling I got it looking ok.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The part that messed it up for me to start with was getting the gradient transform line wrong.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As a newbie to Design, I would enjoy any more like this.&lt;/p&gt;

Just make, for this example the left one have 0% opacity and the right one something around %90. Everything is basically the same.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This allows you to change the color of the button only using the background layer!&lt;/p&gt;
