Welcome to 2007. After a very busy December I am looking forward to 2007 and getting down to work. I have a couple of draft posts on Expression and User Experience I am working on, but thought I'd start my year by bragging that I have a Zune. A nice brown Zune.

I purchased it in California while on vacation and since I have a US credit card, I am also signed up on the Zune store. Very nice. The Zune hardware is sweet. I really like the larger screen, the radio, the video playback and am not feeling any lack of functionality for not having a scroll wheel. (I own five iPods.) The Zune software is good too, though it suffers from a perceived lag time when I am downloading and wanting to look through the market place at the same time. I think this is probably related to the number of albums I am cuing up to download at the same time - hey, I gotta fill this thing up, right?

One problem living in Singapore is that we don't sell Zunes here. Not smart in my mind since here in Asia we are the center of the cool gadget whirlpool and not having Zunes for sale seems criminal. Why do I care? Well, I want to be in the Social and need other socialites. Luckily I bought one for Matty, my teammate, and we'll get social next week at work. The joke will be on him as everything I send him will expire in 3 days. :)
