WPF/E performance looking good!
Interesting post on the performance of WPF/E vs. other browser based technologies. The test involves bouncing ball animations and frame rates. Surprising is the result that WPF/E, a brand new technology, beats more established ones. The WPF (using a XBAP) of course smokes all the others because of the hardware performance.
Take a look at the post here: http://bubblemark.com/index.htm
I ran through the test pages on my machine (AMD with 2G RAM) and my results were:
DHTML: 55 fps
WPF/E: 64 fps
Flex: 58 fps
Flex (cached): 62 fps
WPF: 98 fps
