ReMIX success
Thanks everyone who came out to our South East Asia ReMIX event last Friday. We had over 270 people come through the doors, and many people commented that their time was well spent and they learned something. Phew. Hate to run something and have it be a waste of time.
The keynote was packed with content. We had demos from @WWW and Silverlight work they were doing for Discovery Channel, Beau Ambur of Metaliq, Laurence Moroney building a Silverlight video player in under five minutes and Rashish Pandey from Microsoft showing off Expression Blend. The CEO of Changi General Hospital also came on stage to talk about their investment in technology to better enable health care for their communities. All and all a busy and informative keynote led by Brian Goldfarb's enthusiastic presentation.
The sessions during the day also seemed to go well. I was checking in on different sessions during the day and didn't get to sit through any completely but it seemed that guests found them informative. I am very biased, but I thought the day went well and people walked out knowing more about Microsoft and Silverlight than when they arrived, and if we have generated some curiosity, then the day is a success in my books.
Thanks again to all who attended and gave feedback, to presenters and organizers and for the Singapore community who is giving us a chance to tell our story. Cheers.
