DIY for SOA Saves $$$$ For Insurance Carriers

Well, DIY with expert help and lab-proven integrated applications. Microsoft has announced a new architecture to help carriers develop service-oriented architectures (SOA) without paying high-priced and long running consultancy fees.

The Microsoft Insurance Value Chain (IVC) Architecture, pre-integrated software applications that can work with core insurance business processes, will be ready for prime time at the ACORD/LOMA conference in Las Vegas later this month. The IVC builds on industry standards, integration, and guidance for straight-through processing on and off the Microsoft platform. The architecture has been tested in Microsoft's labs in Redmond.
