Financial Services technology issues

Coming Soon...

Here at Microsoft, we are approaching the end of the fiscal year.  This means that everyone seems to be running  around (like proverbial headless chickens) wrapping up some activities and planning for the fun things they will do next year.  For those that are interested, I will be posting in a few weeks some of the cool things that I will be working on next year.

But just to give everyone a heads up...there is some code on MSDN and reference samples coming soon.  Over the last few months, I have been working with a partner to develop some sample code for how to use web services and service orientation with industry standards.  And namely in this case, it will include a reference implementation for a payments initiation (consumer to bank to bank) for bill payment using the IFX standard.  This will ship with a short paper on best practices as well as a code install for all the artifacts including VS.NET code, BizTalk orchestrations, schemas and WSDL files.  This reference that will be coming should showcase the HOW you would use a standard architected like IFX to integrate web services, web services security and utilize the standard in the service oriented mechanism.

Please watch this space for notification about where to get this paper and code when it ships.  And in the meantime please see this link (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnbda/html/aisforsoa.asp) for another overview on industry standards and service orientation.  Everyone have a great summer....
