ASP.NET Site of The Day : Linkme
Another ASP.NET site that I noticed recently is LinkMe There's is a post from Michael Specht, the HR Blogger, which gives some background. I've also grabbed their 'About Me' info for your reading pleasure:
About LinkMe
LinkMe is a new site that essentially starts to create a "candidate world".
As an individual user or "networker", LinkMe creates an interface which helps you to get maximum benefit out of your personal business networks by allowing you to manage and extend them while accessing a greater network. It provides an environment that adds value to your employment search and provides specific and detailed feedback (you can quickly build your own profile either by uploading a resume or filling in a template). You may also be a networker not actively seeking another role but taking advantage of all that LinkMe has to offer. By building your network you can source information and career guidance from peers, locate mentors, form partnerships and even find old friends!
As a Recruiter and Employer, LinkMe allows you to find candidates quickly and at a low cost - you place the job on the site for no fee. You can complete a job description, nominating very specific skills and experience required. LinkMe will assess the available candidates and provide you with a "scored" shortlist. Should you choose to receive the high level details of an individual's profile you will pay a small fee. This whole process is very quick, reducing assessment time and thus the cost of the placement. Complex job descriptions can be left on the site leaving LinkMe to do the work.
