We're all excited about the freshly released update to Windows Live Writer

i've emailed the folks in MS NZ to see what they can dig up
Yeah. If I visit get.live.com using my NZ IP or signed in using my NZ based Live "passport", don't get any of the betas showing up except for the "Family Safety".
if I sign in using a passport with a US address, then I can see a lot of the other betas available, but when I actually go to download it, I get redirected to MSN.com.
If I connect from a US based IP either not signed in with any account or signed in with my US account, then I can see and download the betas. If I sign in with my NZ account from the US Ip address, then I can't see anything.

I managed to get Live Writer Beta 2 OK and install it and i signed in with my AU Passport.
I can't access the supposed Messenger 8.5 beta though..

Guys have you tried the direct download links? The installer is only being tested in the markets noted above, hence the restrictions.
