The article mentioned some interesting stats on Salesforce's top-heaviness - a small number of enterprise customers account for more than 40% of their user base.
Still, there are many shortcomings. e-Bay is very passive...put it out there, hope they find it.

Google sells to this mentality as well, although you would think otherwise. The Google advertiser thinks -- I hope that someone will search for this product and find my store.

That is so passive.

What software misses is door-to-door (other than spam, which has been discredited). We must be as vacuum cleaner salesmen, knocking on doors...no longer just soapboxes sitting on the shelves.

One cannot help but respect how quickly they connect the dots in leveraging existing investments to reach into new markets and opportunities.

Terry Guo recent investment into Alibaba is in line with the CaaS strategy .. bringing the power of Foxconns manufacturing services into the overall portfolio for services available to the SME thru the Alisoft enabled platform. Stay tuned ... " a pair of wings that will allow the tiger to fly .. "
