Go Go Gadget GAT

The fine folks over at the Patterns and Practices group have now got their GAT workshop up and running alongside the DSL Tools workshop. It's great to see this exciting new Visual Studio technology also inside the Software Factories Initiative and I encourage you to go and take a look at it. Recipes can certainly make the job of process automation a whole lot smoother.  In their own words:
The Guidance Automation Toolkit is an extension to Visual Studio 2005 that allows architects to author rich, integrated user experiences for guidance assets such as frameworks, components and patterns. The resulting “guidance packages” are composed of templates, wizards and recipes to help developers build solutions consistent with architectural guidance.
In future releases, GAT and the DSL Tools will be sharing the same text templating technology and we've gone through a major revision of our engine to support the joint set of requirements.  When we're released, I'll update my summary post on the templating syntax to reflect the changes.
