Composite Applications, Why do we need them?

Several weeks ago Brandon Satrom and Mike Walker created two great posts giving the justification for why Composite Applications are needed. Brandon elucidates 5 factors, I'll oversimplify this down to two and then let you read their posts (which I highly recommend)

1. Increased customer demand.

2. Increased costs.
