  • SOA Governance with MS technologies: System Center, WCF and BTS
Massimo Mascaro, Solution Architect with Microsoft Customer Care Framework
We will revise the different pattern and strategies of employing the current MS technologies to manage, maintain and evolve a distributed service oriented infrastructure. We will show how the combination and synergies of System Center, Windows Communication Foundation and BizTalk Server can guarantee a high degree of central control while maintaining full flexibility for change and the ability to reach reliably for disparate and heterogeneous systems as usually is the case for large SOA deployments.
The need for governance of modern SOAs must also come at a reasonable cost, and with low maintenance burdens. We will represent how MS technologies can help enterprises decreasing the TCO of their SOA infrastructure without compromising the imperative to empower their business to use a composite, service oriented infrastructure.

  • Adding Business Intelligence to SOA Applications
Level 200 Larry Davis, Roger Burnett
"A common misconception is that SOA and business process integration projects are complicated and take a long to time to generate payback. Using the tools in the Microsoft Application Platform-Microsoft BizTalk® Server, Microsoft SQL Server®, and Microsoft Office SharePoint® Server-composite applications can be designed, developed, and deployed in a matter of weeks.
Learn how to add Business Intelligence to SOA applications using Microsoft BizTalk Server Business Activity Monitoring (BAM), Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. This presentation is most appropriate for IT managers, architects, and developers and will explain and demonstrate how to:
.    Use the BAM API as a data collection point
.    Create reports that contain data from BAM using Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
.    Create enhanced data views using Microsoft SharePoint webparts
.    Display business process data in intuitive ways for non-technical users
