As part of a limited-time promotion, Microsoft Volume License customers with qualifying licenses have the opportunity to step up their existing subscriptions to the Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite with MSDN® Premium Subscription at a discounted price from November 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006. Customers can take advantage of this promotion mid-term in their agreement by purchasing a promotional step-up SKU at Software Assurance–only pricing OR at renewal by purchasing the Software Assurance–only SKU for the equivalent number of qualifying licenses. This allows customers to move to the Team System subscription without having to pay the difference in the License portion of the price. 

Qualifying licenses include any of the following obtained on or before March 31, 2006 (active subscriptions only—expired subscriptions do not qualify):

·          Transitioned MSDN Universal,

·          Transitioned MSDN Enterprise,

·          Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Software Testers with MSDN Premium Subscription,

·          Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Software Developers with MSDN Premium Subscription,

·          Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Software Architects with MSDN Premium Subscription, and

·          Enterprise Agreement license true-ups for any of the above products that occur on or before March 31, 2006 also qualify for this promotional pricing.
