Made in Express Contest

Microsoft launched the worldwide "Made in Express" contest on March 13, 2006.

The "Made in Express" Contest is designed to drive awareness and excitement around Visual Studio 2005 Express Edition and SQL Server 2005 Express Edition. The goal is to encourage worldwide participation and community involvement by focusing on stories of how people are using the products in innovative and useful ways.

Entrants are to submit ideas for projects built with Visual Studio Express and/or SQL Server Express. Microsoft encourages a broad range of ideas/projects – these might include Web sites or Windows applications built with Express. Project scopes might extend into games, robotics, devices, and more. 12 selected finalists will be asked to build these products and compete head-to-head with the Grand Prize winner receiving $10,000.
