Are these new SQL 2008 exams? Any hints/info? Or, is it too early to say?

Thanks

Ok, Note to self:  "Read the entire post while paying attention to ALL the words"

Sorry to say I thought he asked about VS 2008.

All of the SQL Server 2008 exams that will be in beta have been finished now.  There will be no more SQL 2008 beta exams.

Now 71-505 has disappeared from Prometric's list.

71-564 showed up just a few minutes ago; but "Promotion not found" for the promo code.

May be they are in the process of updating their records ...

Will try again after some time ...

The exam number (71-564) is at Prometric's list. But the name is bad (it's missing ASP.NET). Also the promotion code doesn't work.

Called Prometric - was told this issue won't be resolved until tomorrow!

Hi Gerry,

I took the TS Web Apps beta earlier this year, I got the result (passed) some time ago, but I've never got that score report testing centrers give you when you take the live exam. Was I supposed to get that information or is it just not available for betas?

Also, what's the maximum score for the live exams?

Thanks

# November 18, 2008 1:14 PM

Gerry O'Brien said:

Hi Pooya,

Do you not see the exam in the list or can you not find a time slot?

If the exam is not in the list, that is an issue that I need to know about.

If you can't book a time, then that means your testing centers do not any 4 hour slots available.  Something I can't do anything about.

Can you tell me which issue you are having please?

Gerry

Hi Andreas,

You will not receive a score report for beta exams, they are only available for the live version.

There is no such thing as a maximum score in the true sense of the word.  The highest you can score on any exam is 1000 but that doesn't always mean that a score of 980 is 98%.

Strange, but I received my score reports for all beta exams. I'm glad that Prometric made an exception for me :)

Just like Ulugbek Umirov said, I've also received my score report for beta exams that I've passed ^^

About the highest you can score, I think it's around 1000 'cause I've once got more than 1000. In other hand, it seems that 1000 is unreachable for some other exam (only few errors possible but score pretty far from 1000).

To speak about the original post, I've took the 71-564 this morning. I've let some comments about small mistakes in answers but I think it's a well-written good exam !

Hmmm I've never got a score report for a beta.

I'm in Australia, maybe its a region thing.

I agree with Julien.

Sat 71-564 the other day. It's one of the better written ones I've sat.

Has the scope of this MCPD exam been revisited since 2.0? The scope of this one appears to be quite different from 70-547.

Gerry O'Brien said:

Hi Iain,

Typically there are not score reports given, but rather a pass/fail notification.  Not sure why there are inconsistencies.

At any rate, each time we create an exam, it starts from the very beginning all over again.  A whole new group of subject matter experts work with us to create the design so yes, the scope was revisited.

Thanks for the comments.
