my name is Giorgio Sardo. Moving from Turin (Italy) to the UK, I studied at Polytechnic of Turin and successfully obtained a Master of Computer Engineering with 110/110 and distinction.

For four years I've been a Microsoft Student Partner Lead, evangelizing Microsoft inside universities and leading a national university community forum of 1600 students.

Before joining Microsoft, I worked with some private company and with one of the biggest Italian Microsoft Partners.

I won the Imagine Cup 2006 worldwide challange (over 65000 competitors) with my project Hello World - a solution to help therapists in the neuroscience field. After winning IC, I've been travelling the world (London, Brussels, Barcelona, Redmond, Rome, Milan, Seoul, ...) meeting Microsoft and community stars.

I joined Microsoft Consulting Services as User Experience Consultant in 2007, where I had the pleasure to build projects using the leading edge technologies.

My expertise lies in .NET Framework (Windows, ASP.NET, WPF and Silverlight), Expression Suite, Mobile Development and Sql Server. I attended quite a few events in the past (TechEd 2005 Amsterdam, TechEd 2006 Barcelona, MVP Summit 2006, Designertopia London 2006, Tech Ed 2007 Barcelona, ...) and I am a Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (Windows and Web).

In the last 4 years I've been writing on my Italian blog at Ugidotnet, the biggest .NET European UserGroup, where I had a great experience.

Before starting this new experience in MSDN, I would like to share my motto from Imagine Cup days:

Close your eyes and relax.
Take a deep breath
    and then...Imagine!
