The First Annual SECAF Awards Gala is the premier commemorative event honoring the small and emerging government contractors and the players in the ecosystem that rely on small business. The 2009 finalists will be recognized and winners announced for each of the following categories:

·     SECAF Contractor of the Year (Under $6 million)

·     SECAF Contractor of the Year ($6 to $12 million)

·     SECAF Contractor of the Year  ($12 to $25 million)

·     Small Business Partner of the Year (greater than $25 million)

·     Government Advocate of the Year -  Honoree

Due to high demand, we have extended our nominations deadline to March 10, 2009.  Self-nominations

will be accepted. All award winners will be chosen by a judges committee and announced at

 our Awards Gala on Thursday, April 16, 2009.

Total Compensation Survey of Mid-Atlantic Technology Companies

SECAF invites your participation in the Total Compensation Survey of Mid-Atlantic Technology Companies. The 18^th annual survey is dedicated to serving the needs of small-to-medium size technology companies, including information technology and service firms, interested in obtaining competitive salary and incentive bonus rates for 30 benchmark jobs, ranging from the Chief Executive Officer to Programmer Analyst, Senior Software Developer, Network Engineer/Technician, and Tech Support/Customer Specialist. Benchmark job descriptions are provided to assist in making appropriate matches. The survey is the most comprehensive assessment of total compensation practices for technology firms in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The 2008 – 2009 survey questionnaire can be found at www.knowledgebank.us.com. Respondents can either complete the survey on-line or download a copy for subsequent completion via mail/fax submission. Participants will receive a FREE copy of the results. The deadline for responses is Friday, October 3^rd.

In addition, the summary report to be published in November will include salary adjustment, annual and equity incentive plan, human resource practice, and employee benefit plan prevalence data. To participate, firms must have more than two employees and provide pay data matches for at least two of the 30 jobs. Your company’s responses will be kept strictly confidential and will not be shared with any other organization.
