My public sector experience spans 25 years with the last 10 years as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Napa County, California. During my tenure Napa County was transformed into a leader in how they used technology to better serve their citizens. Prior to Napa County he was Chief Information Officer for the Lane County Oregon and served in various technology and engineering capacities for the City of Los Angeles and Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
The sole purpose of this blog is to share tips, techniques and ideas about how to use Microsoft's products and services to make governments more efficient and effective. As a former Government CIO, I wish I knew then what I know now about how to leverage Microsoft resources to lead government transformation.
