Team Foundation Server Proxy blog
Before I joined Microsoft I hadn’t had any exposure to Team Foundation Server Proxy. As you know from Brian’s blog post on the internal dogfood TFS deployment here there are a number of proxy servers deployed – India, Singapore, Europe, North Carolina. There are also a number of proxies deployed in Redmond to ease the load off the main server from builds. I’m quickly getting up to speed on what impact a proxy has and how it works.
Tsu-Wang Yang is an SDET (Software Design Engineer in Test) on the Team Foundation Server team who has recently started blogging on TFS Proxy. His first two posts are a great insight into how the proxy server works and a possible configuration option:
