Team Foundation Server and Hyper-V Virtualization

Now that the final Hyper-V virtualization bits for Windows Server 2008 are available people have started asking if Team Foundation Server will be supported as a guest virtual machine.

Yes, Hyper-V will be officially supported (more on Brian Harry’s blog)

Note that the system requirements for Team Foundation Server 2008 remain unchanged – the Application Tier requires a 32-bit operating system. If you have a requirement to run 64-bit operating systems in your infrastructure, you could use Windows Server 2008 64-bit edition on the physical host and run TFS within a 32-bit VM.
