Overall, CodePlex is great, but does come with restrictions. There isn't any team build or checkin policies and you can't change the work item templates.

My only other gripe with it is that is having to enter the username and password each time a new connection is made to the server (usually just once per IDE session per CodePlex server).

Hi Grant, I am involved right now in setting up an online TFS implementation that we have in alpha testing now and we will move to beta pretty soon.

Our implementation is close to those (once) offered by Readify and Phase2.

We have dedicated servers for each customer with conection over VPN. And we have added a portal for the customer to make some tasks like user / rights management a lot easier.

Keep an eye on http://online-tfs.com for any developments.

I got a chance to use http://www.saasmadeeasy.com at the WeAreMicrosoft event in Dallas, TX this year. I gotta say I was really impressed with the stability and all the features we had available. Their support was also top notch. Even given some of the network issues that occur when you have 100+ developers rushing into the same network, streaming music, surfing the web, and working with web hosted source control their system worked effortlessly. For a small company not wanting to host and support the hardware/software needed for TFS, I would recommend Saas Made Easy to them. They also seem to be the lowest price right now.
