ASP.NET Tips and Tricks Seminar, Yukon for Developers: Virginia Beach, VA, Thursday, Feb 12th

Next Thursday (Feb 12th) I'll be in Virginia's Tidewater for a couple of events. At 1:00, I'll be doing my ASP.NET Tips and Tricks seminar. This is the one where I drill into the Time Tracker sample application and then focus on ASP.NET security. I also do a demo of application performance tuning using the SQL Server Profiler. In the security section, we talk about storing secrets in your applications, including the advantages of the Data Protection API (DPAPI). Register here.

In the evening, I'll be at the Hampton Roads SQL Server Users Group (6:30 PM) doing my “Yukon for Developers” presentation. This will be the first time out presenting on Yukon for me, so it should be an adventure! I'm still working out my demos, but I expect to cover Yukon's .NET integration, the new .NET managed provider (System.Data.SQLServer), the new XML data type, and the XQuery implementation.
