DTS in Yukon: Baltimore, MD, Thursday, April 1st (No fooling!)
Last month I had a chance to visit the Baltimore SQL Server Users Group and talk to them about Yukon for Developers. In April, Jeremy Kadlec of Edgewood Solutions will be talking to them about DTS in Yukon. This is the third in their series of Yukon presentations. (Abdy Iman, who is a SQL Server Technology Specialist with Microsoft's Mid-Atlantic District, did Yukon for DBAs in February.)
Yukon is a huge step forward for SQL Server. Yukon's version of DTS has been completely rebuilt from the ground up.

It's so new that the architecture slide still says “Microsoft Confidential!“ Of course, like all the new tools in Yukon, the new DTS package designer lives in the SQL Server Workbench.

If you want more information about Yukon, a great place to go is the PDC presentations. All of the sessions at last October's PDC were recorded, and are available here.
Jeremy spoke at the Northern Virginia SQL Server User Group last month, and I appreciate everything he's doing for the community. I also want to thank SM Consulting who host the meetings and buy the pizza, and Ray Barley of RDA who runs these meetings and finds the speakers. Ray even tolerates it when I show up at 6:58 PM for my 7:00 PM presentation!
This meeting starts with networking at 6:30 PM, followed by the presentation at 7:00 PM. Directions to SM Consulting are here.
