What should I blog?
Most blogs are an excuse for the blogger to write deep thoughts about whatever is on their mind. I don't do that very often; my main goal in blogging is to provide info on events happening in my local area.
I’ve been writing a couple of different kinds of entry in the blog.
Some are really short, and just give the basic facts about the event. This is an example.

Some are longer, and try to add a little more content. Here’s an example:

And I occasionally write entries that aren’t event related, like:

and

I would love some feedback from both my readers:
- When I blog about an event, which style of blog entry do you prefer?
- Do you think it distracts from a “community diary” style blog to include non-event items?
- Are there any other types of entries that would be useful?
- What else can I do to make this better? It’s a lot of work, and I want to make sure I maximize the value.
- What other kinds of online presence would be useful?
BTW, I would like to thank the awesome Anil John for prodding me into doing this. (I needed a LOT of prodding.) It’s sucking up all my time, but it’s a good thing.
