anon: To get an approximation of the amount, you can remember that 100 yens are approximately 1USD. She was "forging" notes that would be roughly equivalent to 100 USD bills.
Bloomberg (
http://www.bloomberg.com/markets/currencies/asiapac_currencies.html
) currently indicates that you get a little more than 109 yens per USD.
