To Start Things Off.
I work with some of the largest companies in the world and I'm extremely fortunate and grateful for the opportunity to do so. These are the household names of the Media, Entertainment and Telecommunications industries. The products and businesses they operate are some of the most fundamental parts of our lives. From the morning news to the 10:00AM conference call, from the weather report to the text message good night; much of what they produce are the basic parts of our day.
When they combine the skills of communication with technology, creativity and ingenuity they have the ability to transform generations. From this perspective I'm not a casual observer. I am an ardent believer in what they do and in turn what I hope to enable. I believe in the power of the press, the magic of television and that a good story told on a big screen can change your life. I believe that every moment has a good story and that we build our lives in the hopes that we become one.
I also believe in Technology. More accurately that faith in Technology not only allows us to think anything is possible but believe that it is. That this faith made it possible to believe in talking pictures and that a man walked on the moon. It brought war, hope, music and conversation into every living room. It showed us that stories are timeless whether set far in the past or in a galaxy far, far away and it continues to transform how, where and why we tell those stories.
In my role at Microsoft I serve as an evangelist for our products but also as an advocate for the industry. I ensure that those inside Microsoft have visibility into the changing needs of our customers and that we deliver solutions to meet those needs. I work so that we play a role in making impossible stories possible and that we tell them in ways that people remember for the rest of their life.
