The address reads something about heads and tails but the blog turns out to be named [something - it changes]. Overly cliche, but anyway I hope you like it. Some old friend said, "if you want to become a writer, just write" so here we are, masses of bloggers, writing. So am I. My name is Abbas and I am a premier field engineer working for Microsoft. My blog will be just free form resonance of my mind really. Sticking to subjects and issues bores me to death, whatever motivates me to express my self in writing, I will just flash it through to see what I think and what you think about it, should anyone care to read.

Back to the Why, there is a myriad of beliefs, thoughts, religions, physlosophies, dogmas, whatever. Not affiliated to any, do not wish to be exposed. Further away from me, better it is. It is bias ruling the world really. Anyway, the point is, you cannot fool a coin so easily. It is simple, everytime you toss it, you have fifty fifty chance or either getting heads or tails. The problem with that is that it is far too simple out of our imagination. Some call it luck, some call it randomness, some call it statistics, I mean everyone has their own reality right, it is not like they tought us math in school.

Lets see, I believe in this, luck, randomness, statistics whatever you name it. But I believe in this in a way that I cannot really describe. Albert once said, that God is not playing dice with the universe, with all due respect, I disagree in that sense. Leave God aside, as that is something we created, the game of dice is there, and it rules all aspects of life as I experience it. Let me use the coin analogy once more, take the utopically uniform coin, weightwise and shapewise uniform, toss this coin in a again uniform environment with no wind and stuff. Now if you toss it a thousand times, rule says that 500 times it will be heads and 500 times it will be tails. It might as well be so, I mean, lets face it there is a strong probability that it will be so. Well, ne-nah, I doubt that it would be 500 times heads, could be 499, or even 450 times. Does not change the rule does it? I would not bet around it, if you know what I mean. Lets say we toss it a million times, what is the chances for having an exact split at 500.000 times heads coming up. No one should come up with statistical terms complicating the issue, although confidence levels and stuff have huge practical value in todays world, leave the complexities aside, I mean, this is a coin with to sides, simple right?

Now lets take this analogy and say that tossing the coin is a binary indicator. There are only two possible outcomes, we call it the heads and tails, the computer call them one and zero. It is that simple, 0 and 1. Billions of these streamed and packed together, practically makes the world turn these days. We would not be anywhere near the modern age, wouldn't it be for these 0s and 1s that are, you know, processed. You do a lot of things, that you would not be able to even imagine, without computers. Microsoft pays me for fixing issues with these streams of 0s and 1s, for example. And yet, we do not know if it is going to be heads or tails, the next time we toss a coin, even if we have tossed it a billion times before . .

I am not sure if the above made any sense to you, but nice of me, if it did. Some much for today, unfortunately.

Cheers,
