# Question about how partners map to users in HV

I'm wondering how partner applications, such as Allscripts' eRx application reliably links to Healthvault users?  Is this based on an algorithm developed to match on certain identifiers?  How is this handshake established between an existing Healthvault user who want to upload Allscripts information into their vault?
