Those of us in Redmond are focused on US based positions or international tech positions. The subsidiary HR offices operate independently. I hear they are pretty through about checking to see who has applied online.

Hope that helps.

re: Career Networking Event in Redmond, WA

I am trying to locate an MS recuiter who specializes in marketing. My expertise is in Market/Competitive Intelligence with the past seven years spent at IBM.

re: Career Networking Event in Redmond, WA

Robert-you've reached one.
I am an avid reader of your blog and I wanted to ask you for your honest opinion about what career path to apply for within Microsoft.

I am about to graduate from college in Houston and I am very interested in a marketing position - specifically the Associate Product Manager - in Microsoft. I have spoken to a Microsoft MBA recruiter who suggested I apply for the MLR program.

I have about two years of sales experience and I wanted to ask you if I would have a better chance if I applied to the MACH - as an Inside Sales Rep or Account Manager though my primary passion is marketing.

I know you do not hire entry-level positions but I wanted to seek your insight. Also, considering Microsoft has select locations for college recruiting, where does that leave us that do not reside in those states?

Thanks in advance!
