Now Blogging on MSDN
For almost as many years as I can remember, I've spent my days on the outside looking in. But now I'm here at Microsoft and with my very own blog associated with my most favorite site on the 'net: the Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN).
Before coming to Microsoft I was the software architect for a startup and pioneered a couple ideas revolving around the .NET Framework which was still in beta in those days. I spent a lot of time giving to the community first at http://www.devhood.com and then at http://www.codeproject.com, which I still haunt to this day. I was also a Visual C# MVP and enjoyed my time and benefits in the program.
At least for the time being I'll use this space to discuss installation technologies such as Windows Installer, which we use here in the Developer Division Sustained Engineering (and pretty much throughout all of Microsoft for installations) and posting about .NET - my true love after my wife - both from an architectural and development standpoint. In most cases it won't just be another code snippet for that nifty new control, but more about the guts of the Common Language Runtime (CLR) and base class libraries (BCL) to some degree.
