So there *is* going to be a Dec CTP? (I've heard mixed reports). Any word on the timing?

Is it safe to assume the Ink Control will actually work this time around? :)

Does this mean there will be a new mobile SDK that works with the Nov WinFX bits? I really miss being able to work with InkAnalysis. It was a very cool part of my application, and I want to enable it again.

I'm with Tim - I do hope that the Tablet functionality is going to be okay (5231 was a Tablet nightmare).

I only do Vista testing on my Tablet so there's basically been none done since bugging the Tablet issues with 5231.

Starting with a December community tech preview (CTP), Microsoft is moving towards a centralized SDK. This new SDK will combine the old Windows Platform SDK, the WinFX SDK and the Mobile PC and Tablet PC Beta SDK into a single SDK called the Windows SDK. MSDN subscribers should see a CTP of this new SDK available for download within a few weeks.

A unified SDK for all those components will be great. No more worries about compatibility. And, new bits for WinFX sooner than expected. All is goodness.
