First and foremost, thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to participate in this photoshoot – we are happy to have you here and sincerely appreciate the hard work you do using Microsoft technologies that landed you the nomination to appear in this book!
As a participant in this book, you are in good company – you will be featured alongside IT Heroes from all corners of the globe, from the United States to South Africa, from Russia to Jordan, from London to Singapore, and just about every other place in between.
Microsoft has hired photographer Carolyn Jones to take your photo. Please take a moment to visit her website at www.carolynjonesphoto.com to get an idea of the type of work she does. Carolyn and her team will be contacting you soon to touch base prior to your photoshoot.
During your time with the photographer and copywriter, we’d like to be clear that we will not be asking technical questions, but are much more interested in your story, both personal and professional, and how your efforts have succeeding in helping people in your organization or community.
To provide a little background on how and why you were chosen to be featured in this book, please read the details below. The Heroes Happen Here book will be distributed as the central marketing piece at the worldwide Microsoft 2008 Launch Wave events in late February.
