here is stuff i like (randomly):

category 1 best records of all time:

Talk Talk -
Spirit of Eden. weird & strange record i first heard in i guess around 1986 or something. i think it was winter in sydney & it changed my head space. i think it eventually made me leave the band i was in at the time. did it make me move half way around the world? who knows?

Jimi Hendrix
Electric Ladyland My sister Lou had this (she was the cool one in my family). When i was 16 i had my Aria Les Paul in the dining room at my parents place jumping around pretending to be hendrix- my sisters boyfriend watched me from outside the room. yeah i am a dork. but he made it ok admitting that if he had a guitar he would have done it as well

Midnight Oil
Midnight Oil Sound of my wastoid wanna be surfer teenage hood. I sucked at surfing (not through want of trying) - i had a much better experience windsurfing in the surf. oh yeah & snowboarding

Death Cab for Cutie
Transatlanticism Fave record from the last year or so. for me, i reminds me of an awesome day snowboarding in Schwietzer just after new years this year. 15 or so inches of fresh, cold & i had the first couple of hours to myself - turns in that sort of snow are so like good surfing turns. i had fun after mel came along too. odd how the best music for something like snowboarding is a little slower, like death cab.
