so - me

(i am listening to stephen malkmus' self titled cd while writing this.)

who the hell am i really (he removes his invisibility cloak). my geekness. I work on Windows Server at Microsoft. My job is Program Management but i also have some development bits. In the past i worked on (chronologically @ microsoft - i may get to prior life sometime): Windows Server 2003 - i was project director - the project manager (Todd Wanke) & team worked for me. Windows XP - i was also project director - the project manager (Jack Mayo) worked for me (Jack is now the project director - he's loads more compitent than me but less likely to use insouciant in a sentence referring to himself).Windows 2000 - I was project manager. i think i may write a couple of posts on that in the futureExchange 2000 Web client - this was kind of a transition job for me. i think we did the right things - the exchange 5.5 owa was a piece of junk & the one in ex2k scaled really well. shows what happens when you get server people designing UI. Saw 2 of the guys who did that the other day - they are still working on it. jim van eaton & russ simpson. both kick ass & have taken owa to a great place.exchange 5.5 i was project manager. geez time flies it shipped in november 97...exchange 5.0 i was the project manager.exchange 4.0 (oddly the first one) - i was the whipping boy for rolling it out in microsoft, i also did program management on connectivity components to msmailmsmail 3.5 - there were 3 of us & a dog on the project. the dog ran away & we spent most of our time looking for it. it was pretty cool tho & sold bucket loads.ms mail escalation engineer - i was the first escalation engineer on mail stuff . That’s pretty cool there are heaps of those guys now.ms mail support - moved to the U.S. doing this stuff (more about that in the future)i started answering the phones in Microsoft Australia focusing on msmail but i had to do sql, lan manager, etc).there you go.
