Jane gets press...

Jane Huxley - one of the funnest people i've worked with at MS is bailing. She was top of my list of the people who never moved to the US who would have done super well here if she had.  My best memories of working with Jane are probably now for writing down, but close to that was the time she did a demo for me when I keynoted Aussie teched in 2000 - I'd seen/done the demo a load before then (it was a pretty standard win2k thing) - she put nuance & humour to it to the point where it was a different piece than i'd ever seen before. She was so much better at making great stories out of demos than anyone else in the company. http://www.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,4057,11564969^15317,00.htmlNormally my attitude when people go is don't let the door hit you on the way out, but best of luck Janey!

MS Australia in the early 90s was full of a great group of people - it's interesting to see what they've done since then.

You know, for all the detractors Microsoft gets, I say.....get over it. You weren't here. For whatever reason. its not yours to knock. Take a walk in my shoes....after fifteen years of literal recalcitrance (yes there are many of us and there will continue to be), I have never not been heard on behalf of all of you. Don't think that the conscience isn't alive and well. There are people like out there (like Iain) who continue to fight the fight they don't need to.

Bring it on.
