Profiler improvements in the July CTP release of Visual Studio Team System

So if you are a customer and you are currently running on the Beta 2 release of Visual Studio Team System you might be unsure if you want to install the new July CTP release of Team System that just recently became available to MSDN subscribers. Well if you use the Visual Studio Team System Profiler, then here are some reasons to make the upgrade.

1.                  Several major performance improvements; notably, improved stackwalking, better symbol resolution and better resource usage during analysis

2.                  The new standalone profiler collection agent allows for collection of profiling data without VS installed

3.                  View improvements such as a warning light in Summary View that looks for bad allocation patterns and support for searching hidden text

4.                  Add then the ability to profile the test functionality of unit tests and made major improvements to ASP.net profiling scenarios

Those are four great reasons to pick up the July CTP release of Visual Studio Team System and to start using the profiler.
