I appreciate the speed with which you add more languages. Hopefully before the end of the year, a couple of African languages will be added. I know The IE8 Team is listening attentively and uses the community feedback to enhance the browser to appeal to a wider audience all over the world.

Like alphabetically (by the english language name) or perhaps by the number of available platforms + alphabetically?

I'm curious about something... how do decide what languages to translate on what platforms? Do you analyze sales, UA strings, independant researchers or just "invest fully in a language; translate it wherever possible; if not currently possible, create patches and translate later"?

I'm asking because the kind of translation you currently have for my language (Bulgarian) is spot on - Windows XP (x86) and Windows Vista (x86 and x64) are the only widely (enough...) used OSes. No one uses Windows XP x64 (as far as I know, and mind you - I sell and repair computers as my day job, so I know what I'm talking about), and when someone needs a web server, they usually choose Linux. Big corporations that would need to use Windows Server only for their own organization do exist, but are very few (especially when compared with bigger markets like Germany, UK or the US), excluding the government agencies of course. Foreign investors are only starting to appear in recent years, so if they do decide to buy a new Windows Server for their Bulgarian employees, they'd want the latest - Windows Server 2008.

Every modern browser except Internet Explorer supports the SVG image standard. As a web designer, it would be useful if the people coming to my site in IE could see the images properly.

What is wrong?

This way, more and more people would be able to use it even if they don't know how to speak English. It makes it more convenient too as they can be more comfortable while accessing the internet with the language that they are familiar with.
