When cover letters go bad...

Excerpts from actual cover letters, as presented to advertising agency Killian & Company:

"I also have a degree English which serves me well in editing text for poor grammer or typos."

"I need real world experience and after reviewing your web site I get the impressing that your company believes in maintain a lax work environment while efficiently meeting the needs of it's customers (right?)."

"My crime was a 'non-violent, victimless' one. I'm hoping this letter is reaching people who have or do smoke weed ..."

There are many more howlers, as well as tips on writing GOOD cover letters, at Killian's website.

In the meantime, Office Online has some great ways to get started on your cover letters with our cover letter templates, which you can find here. None of them advocate recreational drug use.
