Raining pennies (and other cool effects)

Yes, some of the best things in life are still free.

We offer a lot of free, cool templates with animation effects for PowerPoint on Office Online and we’re always looking for more to add to our collection.

I recently came across these new, free animated PowerPoint templates that I think definitely fall into the “cool” category:

pp12_PenniesHeaven

So what you can’t see from this still shot (above) are the coins falling from the top of the slide toward the bottom. This template includes a title slide (pictured), an animated subsection slide (with coins falling in a window to the left of your content), and a couple of slides without animation for printing.

Imagine the reaction from your audience as they settle into their seats before your presentation and see these gorgeous effects up on screen!

Maybe coins aren’t your style? Well, we have many other animated templates from Animation Factory with a variety of different themes: spinning globes, puzzle pieces clicking into place, rotating dots, turning cogs, and even a California sunset. You’re sure to find something there you like.

If YOU have any cool templates for PowerPoint (or any other Office application for that matter), submit them! You can show off your own creative templates or browse through the amazing submissions from others.

I downloaded and used the PowerPoint templete confetti animation for my 40th Birthday invitation annoucement.  Unfortunately, I didn't realize it would require everyone I sent it to to download the same templete and view the slide show from within the folder/file that the zipped file was stored.  Still, they can read what I wrote, just not see any animation.

It looks GREAT on my computer, lol. They don't know what they're missing.

I'm glad that you liked the confetti template! That's one I was playing around with before I posted.

I'm sorry to hear that you weren't able to share it. Yeah, one of the things to remember when using those templates is that you need to make sure that you keep all of the files (template, related files, and files that you create from the template) all together in a single folder if you want to send it to others. You'll want to send the whole folder if you want to share it.

How you used the templates - as a birthday invitation - is a great idea. I hope that your 40th birthday party went well!

Would you like to see what I did with it, Eric?  Took awhile to put together, but well worth it.

That would be cool! I would love to see it.

You might try uploading it through Office Online user submitted template site:

https://services.office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/start.aspx

If you decide to do that, add another comment to the post to let us know it's up and what the URL is!

Oh yeah, I should add that you can probably only upload the static slide (no animatios) to the customer submitted template site.

But, if you have any other cool templates you'd like to share, that would also be the place to share them!

That's odd...Office 2007 .ppt isn't a supported file type; at least, that the error code i'm getting.
