Dearest Blog Readers,

A software utility finally exists that will leverage all of the wonderful new storage space on all three* major free internet-based email providers - Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail and GMail.  RoamDrive is currently in beta and can be downloaded at http://www.roamdrive.com/.  By serving as a simple front-end to the underlying storage, you can very simply have "anywhere access" to your data.  It will be interesting to see how this affects membership of the mail providers, as well as if it introduces new ways to use these services.  One idea would be a very simplistic "data drop" for multiple individuals to share for simple team collaboration or data-sharing.  If you are using RoamDrive or one of the other storage front-ends, add a comment below if you are doing anything creative with your newfound access.
