The Design-Time Developer

My manager wants to know...

... how many people are reading my blog posts?  My manager set up a simple tracking url http://www.msdnevents.com/jacob so that we can measure how many developers are checking out my blog and finding out what I have to share (and occasionally rant about).  This is also an excellent opportunity for you to find out more about our live MSDN Events, held in cities across the US on a quarterly basis.  We're only a few weeks away from our January to March content.  You can read more about our events at the website listed above, and also register for an upcoming event in your area.

I'm also curious to know what you think about the changes we've made to the MSDN Events page.  We've added an RSS feed so you can automatically keep track of our events, a "What your Boss Needs to Know" section and bios of all the presenters (trading cards to follow... just kidding).  Check out the changes and prodive feedback via comments on my blog - if there is anything we should change or add, we'd love to hear from you!

Happy Holidays,
Jacob

Just came across your blog while scanning blogs.msdn.com, it has now been duly bookmarked. Great blog - nice mix of sarcasm, tech previews, etc. It's like Seinfeld meets ComDex in here ;)

Been reading you for a while Jacob. It was also nice meeting and talking with you at the geek dinner in October.

Happy Holidays...

Sorry, forgot...
I like the new events page. It's easier to navigate and sign up, and just looks slick.

If your manager really wishes to know, I'm an developer from Taiwan and is reading your blog.

Maybe you can put some personal info on your blog just like other MS guys do. :)

I really enjoy seeing the guy right in the middle of the MSDN Events graphic with the big "pirate like" hoop earring in his ear. :-)

Even 'wanna be pirates' listen, learn and rub elbows with the brightest developers in our area.

I like the RSS for MSDN Events so I don't miss any. I also like the MSDN Event Ready Reference so I can look up information when I'm not able to make it to the events.

I now subscribe to your blog. I did not know who you were before you came out to speak at our CVNUG user group meeting in Eau Claire. We really enjoyed your talk, Thanks again.

Sometimes you make me yawn (Mayfair theater seating) but overall management should know you -- Jacob Cynamon -- are one of the best presenters MSDN has ever had; lucid, humorous, and a helluva code slinger.

Blogging the MSDN events has been a good idea that I have found useful. I would suggest your link to the TechNet events running in tandem with MSDN load a page that provides some content describing what the TechNet event is about. As I recall, the link from your blogs to the TechNet events loads the registration form directly without any content describing what we may be registering for.

Its been my pleasure to make your acquaintence Jacob. Merry Christmas 2004

Thank you, Clinton, both for the kind words and for the constructive feedback. Here is the address of the main TechNet landing page - http://www.technetbriefings.com. I'll also add links on my main page for the other Microsoft groups with whom we DCCs co-present.

Happy holidays to you as well!
