Batman could whoop any other superhero's behind, except for Wesley Willis (may he rest in peace)

At the end of my webcast on Data Access in Visual Basic 2005, the conversation turned from DataSets and ADO.NET to Batman (and all of the lesser superheroes).  I feel the need to reiterate that Batman is the ultimate superhero.  Despite his deep psychological issues, which I will admit he has, he is a self-made man, spending years to hone his skills of stealth, science, detective work, martial arts/physical combat.  He is effectively a modern Sherlock Holmes... who doesn't do drugs.

Yes, some would say that his super-power is massive amounts of money, which enable him to acquire the tools and services to support his crime-fighting efforts, but money alone does not do that for us.  Look at Warren Buffett - you can't picture him scaling tall buildings and beating up arch-criminals.

As for the Wesley Willis comment, I am paying homage to Chicago's best homeless recording artist, also known as the "350 Pound Schizophrenic Lyrical Messiah"*, who wrote such masterpieces as I Whupped Batman's Ass.

I must disagree with you about Batman.  Yes, he is a self-made man and spent a great amount of time training.  However, think about Wolverine.  He has the natural ability to heal faster than a normal human and animal like senses and reflexes.  In addition, his bones are plated with admantium which is an unbreakable metal alloy.  His claws are about as long as his forearm and made of the same metal.  And much like Batman, Wolverine has a sorted past that he has yet come to terms with which ultimately makes him a loose cannon at times.

Batman is a master of psychology and could use Wolverine's temper to his advantage.  If Magneto could break Wolverine, then so too could Batman.

'Nuff said, though I am eager to hear others weigh in on this.

Btw, who else is super-pumped for the new Superman movie to come out this summer?  I mean, Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor?  This is going to be awesome.

Since there are many X-Men spin-off comics involving Wolverine, it is kind of hard to say that Magneto actually broke him.  However, there was a comic line in which Magneto pull the Admantium from Wolverine’s body which sent his healing factor into overload and thus disabled it.  However, after some time, his healing power actually came back stronger as it no longer had to him from having the Admantium in his body, but in the process it made Wolverine angrier and brought out his animal instincts more.

I do agree that Batman could probably irate Wolverine and potentially use that anger against him.  However, I believe that Wolverine strength, speed and claws would overwhelm Batman.  I do not believe Batman’s suit could protect him against the Admantium coated claws from penetrating and ripping him apart.

As for movies, I do look for the Superman and X-Men 3 movies.
