Beginning again - and hiring

Well, fun times. I've taken a position on the Virtual Machine Manager team. I'll be one of the lead developers working on the next version. It's an exciting space, with a lot of players and a lot of new technologies.

I'm also hiring. So if you're interested we have a number of interesting positions UI and non-UI related (as you might imagine :)).

New Beginnings...

I've moved onto the Windows Experience team. It should a lot of fun to continue to follow Guided Help, and some of my other projects but my emphasis now is on the Windows Experience - things like explorer and the like. I'm also the new owner of the LUA/UAC shell UI, which should be interesting.

This will probably change the kinds of things that I blog about - you can expect more shell-related topics, as well as various user experience discussions.

We have a lot of changes that we're excited about, and I look forward to building on Windows Vista.

Blog relo underway

Well, I've decided to move my blog from spaces over to a new location. For the first bit I'm just going to cross-post most entries. I'm not sure why my blog got wanderlust, but it might be the over-active html-scrubbing on spaces, the lack of good statistics, or because it's a new thing to try out for a while. Overall, I think I'm just craving the additional freedom. But since this site is currently very light on content, here's a link to the old diggs.

Lately, I'm talking about debugging, a WMI shell folder project, and various tech tips that come up throughout the day. I'm also planning on starting up a new series on a Registry indexing sample that a small group of us are putting together.
